I just installed Sierra to a Crucial MX300 525GB SSD. I was surprised to see it say I have 512GB of free space (AFTER the macOS install). I have this same model SSD in a Windows PC (purely storage, no OS) and there's only 488GB usable space. Other people seem to report the same amount various places online. Is this from the SSD not having over-provisioning in Mac OS, or something else? Is this a problem and something I need to fix?
