Logic Pro

hi everyone, a quick question for anyone that uses their hackintosh to mix music.

I want my friend to be able to monitor inputs without latency, on Logic Pro X, or Garageband, just like I do on my MacBook; if a laptop is set up running Voodoo HDA, does that driver add lag? Or would one be able to monitor their microphone with a bunch of plugins on it, without any delay, like on actual Macs? (i.e. 20-30 ms on my MBP)
