Like the title says, if I walk away from my hackintosh for more than about 5 minutes or so and try to use it, the OS has essentially frozen and takes about 10 seconds before the screen responds to mouse movements like if I move the mouse down to the dock, the dock is frozen for a bit and then as it starts to respond, it's very stuttery and laggy for another 10~15 or so seconds at which point, everything responds normally.
Any ideas what is going on? I'll try to list as many specifics as possible and can provide other details if needed.
- Mac Os 10.12.6
- i5 6500CPU
- 16g DDR4 3200
- Gigabyte H170N wifi (wifi/BT card removed - no Kext files used for that)
- Geforce 750ti with most up to date web drivers
System/screen sleep disabled and screensaver set to 30min (screensaver kicks in and works normally and the machine appears to work normally if I log in after screensaver is running)
FakeSMC kexts (iStat menus shows everything normally)
On previous builds with this exact same hardware, I didn't have this problem so I'm almost totally sure it's not hardware-related.
