GTX 980 Ti / Sierra, weird micro-stuttering in non-demanding games

I tried playing some low-res, pixelated, completely non-demanding games (I should theoretically be able to get 500+ FPS on games like these, but... vsync) on my Hackintosh which uses a GTX 980 Ti and Intel i5-2500k on Sierra. I've already installed the web drivers and graphics fixup.

On Windows these games run smooth as butter as they should, never skipping even a single frame, and they sync perfectly to my screen since they use VSYNC. But on macOS I noticed that the framerate randomly (usually a few times per second) keeps jumping ever so slightly below 60, to 55-58 FPS for a split second, causing 1 or 2 skipped frames or as I call it "micro-stuttering." I had something close-ish to this on Linux but it went away after I got good drivers and made sure direct rendering was 100% on. What can I try?
