I've got a working and otherwise fully (mostly?) functional High Sierra hackintosh here (using it to write this post) that, for some reason, when I plug in a USB hard drive or stick, doesn't recognize it. It's not that it doesn't auto-mount, it's that the operating system doesn't even know it's been plugged in. diskutil list doesn't even see it.
Any idea if I'm missing a kernel extension or something I need to put on my EFI partition, and if so, what that might be? Could my config.plist be to blame, and if so, what section(s) control this feature (so I can look up how to fix it)?
