Is High Sierra on Virtual Box really a good option?

Hello,

I'm on the brink of an upgrade of my MacBook Pro 13" (late 2013). It has worked well for all those years, but a lot of things has changed in my work. I have used MacBook not only because I prefer OSX over Windows, but because I have to build apps for iOS devices. Back then, I have tried that with my Lenovo ThinkPad and it was a mess. I've decided I need to go with MacMini and then switched to MacBook Pro. Now most of my work is done using Unity3d and building for iOS devices is just a small portion of the work that I do.

Obviously, moneywise and performance-wise, it's better to buy a Windows-based laptop, if I don't really care about the OS.

I have found an article, which would "make it work" for me: https://techsviewer.com/install-macos-high-sierra-virtualbox-windows/ I could do most of my work on windows, and in need, switch to OSX to build and deploy.

However, the comments consist of support questions and answer, no real comment about real world usage. I am wondering, if anyone is really using virtual box (or other virtualisation) to work on OSX on an everyday basis?

I think this is the appropriate reddit to ask this, if not, please let me know, will move the question there.

Thank you
