Alright lads,
In my 3-4 years of using a Hack I was never able to get iMessage to work. I have never owned a real Mac computer which was associated with my Apple ID, only 2 iPhones (one of them is long gone).
I read thousands and thousands of tutorials, from tonymac to some random forums, all suggesting several things:
-uuidgen or imessage_debug (tried both)
-deleting files and directories from /Users/yada yada
-...actually that's about it.
Currently I have High Sierra running with Clover, the last thing I tried was this which didn't work (tried that previously on several occasions, but I thought maybe something was gonna turn out different this time).
Although... If I go to iCloud settings on my iPhone and remove the hackintosh from the trusted devices, sometimes the phone pops up a little info box saying my carrier may charge for some iMessage stuff, and then if I try to log in with my hackintosh, I'm logged for about 2 seconds - a screen pops up showing which e-mails and numbers are associated with my iMessage - before all goes back to hell.
I heard some people say the SMBIOS will also play a role in being able to use iMessage. Since MacPro3,1 is no longer officially supported on High Sierra, I went with iMac14,2 as suggested on tonymac.
This is my old machine btw.
Core2Quad Q9550, 8GB DDR2, GTX 660.
Anybody got any ideas?
