Asking because my friend gave me a couple of his Arduino UNO boards recently. I think they are clones. Anyways, I connected them to a Windows computer and the IDE immediately recognised the serial port. My macOS hack, on the other hand, is being a real bitch about it. I have tried everything I could think. Most of the online tutorials advise installing the CH34x drivers, but that didn't work for me either. Just wanted to know if someone else had any Success ...
FYI, I only have dev/cu.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port and dev/tty.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port showing up. The device is recognised by the system, because it shows up in System Profiler in the USB section as a "Communication Device"
