Hey guys, I just setup my first Hackintosh and I've run into almost 0 issues so far (except hibernation problems, that was a pain), but now I've hit my first one.
I recently found out we have cat5 running in my house and I decided to replace my sketchy wireless connection (sketchy because of the card I have, not the OS) with a reliable ethernet connection.
I can run a speed test just fine with great results, and I'm actually typing this post on my Hackintosh, but it shits the bed whenever I try to stream something from Twitch or Youtube... The video loads and plays in slow motion on Twitch, and just buffers forever on Youtube. I haven't tried any other video sites, but I assume they would behave similarly.
My specs:
OS: OSX 10.13
CPU: i5-4690k
MOBO: Asus Z97-k
GPU: RX 480
I'm using the onboard ethernet if that makes a difference.
I am 100% certain the connection is fine and the cables are all good as I've got a regular Macbook Air running 10.13 that can run Youtube and Twitch just fine using a USB 3.0 USB/Ethernet hub.
I'd like to keep the ethernet speed and reliability because it makes using my home server way more efficient, but I don't want to give up videos.
What should I do? Any help is appreciated
