Display glitches+flickering after waking from long sleep (reappeared bug)

Such images https://imgur.com/a/wNCOq or similar ones are displayed after waking my Hackintosh from a long sleep. Screenshotting doesn't capture these images, so the graphics card seems to be messing up. Turning off the screen output and turning it back on by using a hot corner doesn't work anymore after the High Sierra update. (which fixed a number of other issues with graphics though) My hibernate mode is 0. Maybe there is some pmset setting I can change to prevent this from happening? Like stopping deep sleep or preventing some other thing? I've looked into native power management but didn't really find anything applicable.

Related post but slightly different issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/6ow5ed/screen_flickers_or_displays_glitchy_image_after/

Specs: macOS (latest at the time) 10.13.1, MSI Z170A Gaming M5 ATX, Intel Core i7 6700K, Asus GeForce GTX 1060 Strix 6GB, Latest CUDA and Web Drivers (378.10.10.10.20.107) by NVIDIA, CPU power management works (frequency changes seem correct), DP Sound works

I'd be very happy to receive any hints on what I could try to resolve this issue.
