So, for a while now, I've had a Latitude E6330, and I've been desperately wanting MacOS on it for some of my college work. I looked into it a bit, and I found a lot of success stories for Latitude E6xxx's, so I was hopeful. However, after much struggling, I'm still unable to even get to the installer.
I've tried both Unibeast and a vanilla installation. Unibeast actually got the progress bar below the Apple logo, but would kernel panic about 3/4 of the way through the loading process. My vanilla installation however would only display the Apple logo before kernel panicking.
However, this was a couple of months ago, and I'm planning on starting again. The specs of the laptop are as follows:
- Intel Core i5-3340M
- Intel HD Graphics 4000
- Intel 7 Series/C216 Chipset
- 16GB SODIMM DDR3 RAM
- Dell Wireless 380 Bluetooth 4.0 Module
- Intel 82578LM Gigabit Ethernet
- Dell Wireless 1504 802.11b/g/n
- Qualcomm Atheros AR9485
- Another Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 (don't ask)
- Samsung PM830 128GB SSD (On SATA#0)
- Samsung Momentus ST750LM 750GB (On SATA#1/Module Bay, where I'd like to install MacOS)
- Dell A11 Legacy BIOS
I've looked on OSXLatitude but I couldn't find a guide for my laptop. I'd also like to point out that my Hackintosh knowledge is very limited. I barely understand what a Kext is, and I keep hearing terms such as DSDT and SSDT but I simply don't have the time amongst all my college work to get it done. If anyone can offer me any advice at all on what I should do, I'd be extremely grateful. I just want to be able to install the OS, even if it's got problems I can sort those out later.
Thanks in advance!
(P.S. If I've missed something, please tell me! I'll try and get back to you as soon as possible.)
