Wi-Fi Sharing on a USB Wi-Fi Dongle from Ethernet - Compatible on other OS's, and even a USB passthrough into a VM from Mac, but not on macOS itself. Any solutions?

I'm sure this has something to do with the kext, of which I'm using RTL8188AU, and Realtek ethernet. Both work fine on the system, and both pick up connections. I'm sure all that needs to be done is some kext editing, and I have some programming knowledge, so can anyone give any pointers on where this functionality would be determined on the system?
