Hi, I just wanted to share my experience upgrading Sierra to High Sierra.
TLDR; Everything went flawless and is working as expected.
Here's the steps I took.. - Downloaded High Sierra from Mac App Store.
- Downloaded Nvidia Drivers.
- Extracted APFS.efi from downloaded High Sierra Installer (/usr/standalone/i386/apfs.efi in basesystem.dmg).
- Updated Clover.
- Put APFS.efi in the right place. (/EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/).
- Copied my Kexts into /EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/Other/. - Launched the update.
- Got coffee and waited for 20min.
- On last reboot, just installed Nvidia Drivers and rebooted.
- Great Success !
Everything works like everything worked on Sierra. No special tinkering or weird things.
The only thing I noticed is on boot, APFS seems to output log text before Clover loading everytime.
It's really quick and doesn't make any problems, but it's there.
Boot is a bit longer than Sierra, but nothing dramatic.
Specs - Intel Core i7-4790.
- Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H.
- GeForce GTX 980 Ti.
Feel free to ask questions, I'll try to answer them the best I can ;)
