Howdy all.
I bit the bullet, and as soon as humanly possible - upgraded to High Sierra 10.13.0.
Because I am using Apple supported graphics card (GTX 670 2GB), and APFS.efi was released leaked, and because I had a current backup, I decided to give it a try... This is what I did.
Updated Clover (via Clover Configurator Vibrant) to latest version, updated lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext to latest versions (in EFI kexts/Other). Rebooted ONCE to see if Sierra still worked with that EFI folder. Did in-place upgrade from the Installer app from App Store.
The computer rebooted a lot of times... once after a short time, once again, and finally rebooted showing THREE options in Clover (FileVault Preboot, Recovery and macOS). I was frightened when FileVault Preboot was the default, but I changed to macOS and everything was working fine... I hid "Preboot" and "Recovery" in Clover config.
Only Little Snitch needed updating.
SSD automatically converted to APFS (as expected)
/u/corpnewt mountefi.sh script no longer works, but CCV still mounts EFI partitions correctly.
Only ONE audio device shows up in System Report now :-)
In About this Mac, all NTFS drives show as full, with 0kb available (only cosmetic). Everywhere else, NTFS drives behave as before.
All my kexts from Sierra are working after sleep (I was worried about this). I am using BOTH 8169 and 8111 kexts (I have PCI ethernet installed for local NAS, and built-in gigabit for connection to WiFi Extender.
Tested latest Web Driver - all good, but until CUDA is available, I will use Apple driver.
Performance does seem slightly "snappier" than before... not much... but welcomed all the same.
EDIT: My Hardware:
Gigabyte B75M-D3H (no DSDT)
Core i7-2600
16GB DDR3 1600 RAM
SSDs and HDDs
GTX 670 2GB
If you can think of anything you want me to test, let me know in comments
