Reinstalling OSX with Clover - Black Screen After Apple Logo from USB

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install sierra (fresh install preferred) on an existing el capitan computer. I'm using unibeast method to try and install from a boot USB drive, but after the apple logo loading screen (which takes about 15-20 minutes), I get taken to a black screen. I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong since this was the approach I took with El Capitan. I'm using an older monitor and have tried VGA and DVI with no success.
