My PC (desktop) unexpectedly crashes/shuts down when I reach the Apple logo. Used to work perfectly. Please Help!

I installed Mac OS X (10.11.6) on my gaming config to have both Windows and OS X about 6 months ago following tonymac86x's instructions. It worked great, I always booted from the USB drive but ran OS X from an external hard drive (WD 500Gb HDD).

Just yesterday, as I went to boot my computer following the regular procedure of choosing the USB key to boot and then selecting OS X from my hard drive in Clover, the Apple logo pulls up, loads for about 3 minutes and reaches ~70% before my computer just shuts down, with no warning whatsoever.

I have tried booting from the USB key, the hard drive and same with Clover but I either get into a whole new installation of OS X or my computer crashes. So I thought maybe the problem could be physical and I tried switching USB ports (2.0 and 3.0) but that didn't help either. I feel pretty lost here...

Is there any way to get it back without having to reinstall or resetup? I appreciate all feedback!
