Installing MacOSX on empty HDD (specs in post)

This is my first post, and I don't know anything about Hackintosh computers. I have searched a bit to see if my components are compatible with MacOS, but I want some reassurance.

Specs:

• Processor: Intel Core I7 4790K (LGA1150)

• Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero Z87

• Graphics card: Gigabyte R9 280X Windforce

• RAM: Corsair Vengeance CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 16GB

• HDD: Samsung 750EVO, 2x 500GB WD Black (1 unused to install MacOS)

I also don't have any other computer to work with (except for a laptop). Just want to install it on an empty HDD and try to launch it from there, so I can still choose in the bios what drive I want to boot from (and keep my windows install and steam library intact) :)

Luckely my brother has access to a real mac (macbook) to download the OS. (PS: is this free or does this cost money?)

I want to build a Hackintosh because I don't want to spend a lot of money for an iMac or any other device, just to see how it feels. Even trying to get FCPX to make the switch from Premiere Pro.
