How well will this setup work for FCPX, Adobe LR etc?

So my main MacBook for work is starting to stumble. Looks like a logic board issue or something.

My friend is helping transform my current gaming PC into a mac (dual boot with windows eventually). These are the rough specs at the moment.

Intel i5 4690k 3.50ghz GTX 970 8GB RAM

I realise these are basic specs but for running Final Cut Pro X and Lightroom coupled with the apps/system files and assets being stored on SSDs, will this be worse or better than my MacBook that has the intel 4000 chipset and dual core (I think) 3.5ghz processor? It also ran on SSDs.

Will I see an increase or about the same performance?
