my friend, who doesn't know much about computers, need a new computer for editing 4K ProRes files (so he need an apple OS). His current machine is a macbook from ~2010, which serves him fine for editing photos, but he's expanding into video production.
So, he expressed he intends to buy/build a hackintosh. But he would very much like to have a laptop, as he travels for his work quite frequently. Are laptops, such as Lenovo P50 possible to made into a hackintosh, and is it worth the hassle? (considering apple only uses AMD cards by default).
If it's not possible, he will settle for a stationary PC, but that would mean he's stuck on his old macbook when he travels.
Any thoughts?
