Okay, so at first I had an issue where the computer wouldn't boot with the nVidia WEB drivers, even though the nvda_drv=1
flag was set. I realized that once I enabled this flag everything worked. Since I didn't wanna do this manually every boot, I decided to update my clover config. Here is where the crazy part starts.
I opened Clover Configurator and looked under the section Graphics. I could see Inject EDID
, Inject NVidia
, NVidia Generic
but not something about WEB drivers. Strange. I then think
"okay, maybe the naming convention is just different"
followed by
"the next thing after Generic in the Clover boot menu is NVIDIA WEB drivers, so maybe I should just try the next flag in the config too"
which happened to be NvidiaSingle
. I thought that the worst thing that could happen was that it wouldn't boot and I would have to use my backup USB, start the system with its config and restore the SDD's EFI config to a working state. No big deal, right?
Well, turns out it doesn't boot on that backup USB either. I've tried both with normal mode and with safe mode.
Normal boot gets stuck here.
Safe mode gets stuck here.
I honestly can't believe I would have to reinstall for this tiny little shitty thing. Anyone more experienced who can shed some light? Thanks!
