Apple is working on a new Skiing workout for the Apple Watch, according to references found in a firmware file for the unreleased HomePod.
Jeffrey Grossman, co-founder of Confide, was digging through the HomePod IPSW when he spotted numerous functions for a HDSkiingWorkoutEventCollector. The functions include those to start, stop, process data, and save. Check out the list in the image below.
With the Apple Watch Series 2, Apple introduced two new swimming workouts: Pool Swim and Open Water Swim. It's unclear if the company plans to introduce the new Skiing workout alongside a new device; however, there have been rumors that Apple plans to unveil a new Series 3 Apple Watch this fall.
