Sierra stuck logging in. It's just spinning with my username and photo above it.

SPECS: R9 390 (8GB) via HDMI, Intel Core i5, 12GB RAM, MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition, ADATA 128GB SSD, 1TB HDD, etc.

This rig has been working for about half a year. All of a sudden, I try to log in today, and I'm stuck on the login screen. I just login with my password, but it does not get to the desktop. It's just loading. And it's stuck loading.

What can I do? Any potential solutions? For reference, I can login perfectly fine with Safe Mode, but then QE/CI is broken (obviously) so I am unable to do my work.

What changes can I make in safe mode that will allow for normal login to work again?
