Really old Lenovo laptop running Snow Leopard, randomly disconnecting from wifi

It's a Lenovo 3000 v100, Core Duo era computer. 32 bit only. My primary laptop, a 2010 MacBook, died a couple days ago (logic board), so I figured I'd see if I could Hackintosh this one to use until I got a better computer. I got it running with Clover and OS X 10.6.8 after a bit. I can post config files and lists of kexts if necessary. I took detailed notes on the whole install process.

Wifi worked out of the box. It's a Broadcom card of some sort (again, I can find out more about it if necessary, I'm lazy). However, there are 2 problems. Sometimes it gets switched off, and the only way I can get it to turn on again is by turning off the laptop, disconnecting the battery and the small clock battery inside the laptop, and turning it on again. Wifi's on again when I turn it on. No big deal. Doesn't happen that often, mostly just if I accidentally hit the hardware switch. More annoyingly, it disconnects at random times, whether in use or not, resulting in wifi still being on but not connected to any network. The message:

Jun 27 02:27:50 Hackintosh configd[13]: network configuration changed.

shows up in system.log every time, different timestamp of course.

Any ideas? I know it's a crappy computer and plan to get a new laptop when I can, but as a high school student, and an indecisive and lazy one at that, I neither have money nor ideas of what to buy. Thanks in advance!
