I’m interested in running OS X on my PC and don’t mind experimenting around a bit, but really want to avoid damaging my other data in any sense. I do not have any prior experience with OS X or hackintoshs.
Currently i’m running Windows 10 installed on a 250GB SSD together with some programs, while all other programs and general data is on a 2000GB internal HDD. Could I just set away 200GB from my internal HDD by partitioning and try getting OS X to run it?
I would then have a 250GB (=Windows + some programs), a 1800GB HDD-partition (= other programs + general data) and a 200GB HDD-partition (= OS X). When following common tutorials and workarounds is there any possibility to damage data on the SSD or the large HDD-partition? How big is this probability?
[Excluding the blatantly reckless, e.g. clicking yes when it’s clearly recognizable that you’re erasing all data on the PC]
