Hi, guys. Today I decided to change from using linux to using Mac OS X Mountain Lion. I have been trying for about 7 hours now, and I can't seem to get anything to work.
I try the boot flag "Kernel Cache"=\amd arch=i386 -v maxmem=4096, but when i press enter, it goes through a few lines of nonsense really quick, then immediately goes back to the bootloader/menu where i can enter boot flags.
I have also tried to try other boot flags such as just putting 'amd'. This either makes my system halt and makes me restart or does the same thing as the above boot flag.
My system specs are:
Gigabyte m68mt-s2 motherboard
AMD FX-4100
8GB of ram
I would be very grateful if someone could help. Thank you.
Edit: I forgot to say ïn the main post, my motherboard does not support ahci.
