Hey everybody,
This is my first hackintosh so please cut me some slack here.
I purchased the
BELKIN F5D8053 N (v6) because it was confirmed to work on osx mountain lion here: The Best USB WiFi Adapters For Your Hackintosh
I plugged the device into my hackintosh running Mountain Lion 10.8.2.
Next, I downloaded the drivers on Realteks website for Chipset: Realtek RTL8188CUS
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...rue#RTL8188CUS
I ran the MAC OSX 10.8 Install Package on my hackintosh. It installed fine, I restarted my computer. I moved the wireless network utility into my dock for ease. Now, when I clicked the "Wireless Network Utility" all it does is bounce up and down in my dock for 30 seconds. Then nothing happens. I go to network in system preferences and nothing comes up. Please tell me I didn't buy this $20 wireless dongle from hell for nothing. I have been trying to research fixes for the past week on this device, you guys are my last hope.
Am I doing something wrong?
