The "Still waiting for root device" error can be caused by a couple of things. Make sure that AHCI mode is turned on in your BIOS. If that doesn't work, try using the boot flag "USBBusFix=Yes" (without quotation marks). If that doesn't work, try re-making your Niresh DVD.
