My laptop is a gateway mx6958:
Intel® Core™ Duo processor T2050
1.60 GHz | 2 MB L2 Cache | 533 MHz FSB
Screen 15.4-inch Ultrabright™ WXGA TFT (1280 × 800)
Chipset Intel® 945GM
I was able to install with these parameters: cpus=1 maxmem=2048 npci=0x2000 and it even detected my synaptics touchpad.
After install I just get kernel panic with these same parameters or just hangs after the staying alive music when not passing any parameters. I am able to get the system to boot up in safe mode -x parameter but it doesnt detect my touchpad or keyboard so I am stuck with a before you begin screen asking me to connect a keyboard. The thing is I cant use a usb mouse or keyboard becasue my usb ports are not working for some reason? Any one know the solution? Also I keep reading about people using differnt kexts but dont know what they are or how I can install one using the iatkos S3 v2 installer or any other method so please leave good instructions because I am a hackintosh noob!!
