I have a Samsung n150 plus on which I was able to install OSX 10.6.2 using iportable snow. The specs for the laptop are the following:
CPU = Intel Atom N450 @ 1.66ghz
GPU = Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150
Network WIFI = Atheros AR9285
Sound: Realtek HD Audio
Originally, when I installed OSX, the wifi did not work and I did not have a battery symbol in the top right corner. I fixed these by installing two kexts, the IONetworkingFamily.kext and VoodooBattery.
However, I still have a few problems that I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Currently, sound doesn't work, the resolution is stuck @ 800x600 (it doesn't register my graphics card). These are the two most important issues.
Secondarily, the headphone jack doesn't work, internal mic doesnt work, sleep function isn't available, SD card doesnt work, and function keys dont work. However, these are all less important (but if possible I'd like to fix them).
Regarding the audio, I tried installing VoodooHDA.kext because I read on a few forums that that would help. IT MADE THE WORST POSSIBLE FEEDBACK SOUND OUT OF THE MIC SLOT I'VE EVER HEARD (and I'm a DJ!). I even mistook it for my fire alarm, it was that bad. I had to delete the VoodooHDA.kext because it was a horrible sound and it didn't fix anything.
So basically, I'm wondering what kexts do I need to make audio work and be able to change my resolution to something higher (1024 x 600) or something. Will Meklort help (his netbook installer) or do I need to use something else? OSX is installed on my HD now and I'm really loving it. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
