Long story short.
My open core MacPro 5,1 had an update go bad and I need to rebuild the entire machines OS
Not sure what happened but regardless I have it back up and running
When I was doing the rebuild process I had to use my MacBook Pro to wipe the drive. As the unit wouldn’t even make it to the boot screen without issues.
Now that I am trying to reinstall opencore so I can get back to macOS 12. The Open Core legacy patcher keeps saying that I have the incorrect open core build for my machine. That the build I have is for a MacBook pro and need to rebuild the root patch for my MP 5 1
Okay no problem, it select yes, select my drive to EFI and it does the root fix. I reboot back to the root patcher and same pop up.
The issue is it won’t let me make a bootable usb drive or anything else.
So I’m stuck and no matter what I try and do including rewiping the entire drive again on a windows machine. I still get the pop up saying the EFI boot open core did was for the wrong machine.
Any help ?
