I have a mac pro 5.1 running Opencore 0.7.5 and I need to set the boot-args performance mode on to fix a networking SMB bug in 10.15 But I cant seem to change the setting not matter what I try.
I have edited my config.plist to include the line -serverperfmode=1 under boot-args I have also tried doing it via command line
sudo nvram boot-args="serverperfmode=1 $(nvram boot-args 2>/dev/null | cut -f 2-)"
I have also tried doing it in recovery mode and ensure my SIP is disabled. not matter what I try I cant get performance mode to enable.
when trying on the command line I get this:
nvram: Error setting variable - 'boot-args': (iokit/common) general error
when I edited the config.plist to include "-serverperfmode=1" and reboot I checked to see if it worked by using the "nvram boot-args" command it seems to work as it returns this:
-lilubetaall -wegbeta agdpmod=pikera shikigva=80 unfairgva=1 mbasd=1 -wegtree -no_compat_check no32exec=0 -serverperfmode=1
however when checking with the command "serverinfo --perfmode" I get this:
Server performance mode is NOT enabled
what am I doing wrong?
one though I had was to add this line to the config.plist file under boot-args
"serverperfmode=1 $(nvram boot-args 2>/dev/null | cut -f 2-)"
would that work?
Thanks so much for you help!
