How to get proper resolution on an old Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 mac card?

Not sure if this counts more as an "it boots" or a question, so I'm going with question.

So I just got my newest frankentosh to boot this morning, specs are:

Mobo: Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X

CPU: Intel i5 9400f

Ram: gskill ripjaws 3200 (2x8 gb)

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Mac Edition (Look, I got the damn thing for free, ok?)

Storage: Samsung 980 EVO nvme 1TB

Power: Cooler Master V650 SFX Gold

I call it the frankentosh because the cpu, gpu and ram are originally from other computers.

My problem is that the resolution is steaming hot dog dookie. I've been doing some digging, and the only drivers I can find for the card are for older versions of OS X, and there's mixed information about flashing the bios on the card. Currently all of the browsers freeze halfway through loading, so I wouldn't be able to download the flasher on the mac side anyway, but if this is the way I should go, I'd likely be able to do it with my gparted live usb.

If I flash it, would that really help?
